Our Story
​My name is Kristin. My family and I own and operate a small rabbitry based in Franklin, Louisiana.
​I am a working mother of 3. I have one daughter who is 18 and two boys ages 13 & 11. My children and my animals are my world so when I was given the opportunity a few years ago to be a stay at home mom, I took it! One day a friend called and said that she was going pick up a baby bunny for her daughter and asked if I wanted to go ride. I said yes. Well, the rest is history. Those baby lionheads stole my heart and that is when KCP Rabbitry now known as My Rabbit Habit rabbitry was born.
Little did we know how this one tiny fluff ball, who we named Maximus Meridus, would change this family's whole direction. One rabbit became two, two rabbits became three, and well let's just say that now, I definitely have more than those three!!
Then along came the chickens & goats!! Now, well we just need a bigger yard!

**What does "closed" mean?
A closed rabbitry is a facility that does not allow visitors onto the property or inside of the area where the animals are kept and maintained.
Our sales policy
By purchasing a rabbit from Rabbit Habit Rabbitry you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
- Our rabbits do not leave my rabbitry until 8 weeks of age. There are NO exceptions to this. This is so we can ensure every kit has received all the proper care and attention it needs to thrive and leave our rabbitry happy and healthy!
- Under NO circumstances will we sell a rabbit that appears to be sick or have any health issues. All of our rabbits are healthy to the best of our knowledge when they leave here. We will NOT be held responsible if the rabbit(s) becomes sick or dies once it leaves our care. As there will be NO REFUNDS or replacements. This a typical policy. We are also not responsible at any time for ANY vet or medical bills for your rabbit. We strive to provide the best for our animals. ANY bunny can become stressed in the wrong situation and may become ill.
- Payment: We currently accept Paypal, cash or money order. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS!! Rabbits must be paid for in FULL before it is allowed to leave. No sales will be made to a minor without adult consent--Period.
- My rabbits are sold on first come-first serve basis. We will hold a requested kit for you with a required deposit of 50% of the purchase price. The deposit is NON-refundable, unless you decide upon a different rabbit then we can make those arrangements. If the rabbit unexpectedly gets sick or dies while in our care, then a full refund can be made or the deposit can be applied to another rabbit, which ever you would prefer.
- Day of Pickup: Bring a box or carrier to put your bunny in. Please make sure it is big enough to fit but not too big. Please put something on the bottom of the carrier (hay, towel or bedding) to help keep the rabbit calm during transport. Please be on time when you come to pick up your rabbit. If you cannot meet at the schedule time, please let me know. I understand things happen, but please send me a text, call or message.
- We do our best to check sexes, however please make sure you check when you pick up your rabbit for yourself--mistakes happen. It can be very difficult to sex a rabbit, especially when they are younger. Even the most experienced breeders/judges make mistakes.
- We have the right to refuse any sale we feel necessary. A full refund will be given if WE decide upon this. If YOU decide to cancel a sale, your 50% NON-refundable deposit will NOT be refunded as it was given to hold that bunny and no one else was allowed to purchase that animal while another has it on hold.
- There is NO guarantee on an animal's ability to show or the breed performance. Pedigrees are sold with rabbits who are a show or brood quality.
- We ask that if you plan to sell or rehome the rabbit, that we are given the first right to buy it back at the same price sold for unless the rabbit has gained legs or awards.
-Rabbits will leave here with a small bag of transition feed and a care sheet.
You will also receive a lifetime of support from your breeder.
This means you can call me ANYTIME with questions about your new family member and of course, we LOVE updates on our babies! Pictures, stories, comments, concerns, and questions are ALWAYS welcome. You'll be our extended family, after all!
